I’m looking to lightning up my Thunderhead, but have no idea how to get the actual electric effects working. Your partial conversion is the best step in the right direction I’ve seen so far; how’d you start it up?

Hi Lucas.
The lightning is small gauge floral wire. It’s sturdy and can bend fairly easily. I just tried to determine where I wanted the lightning to arc from and to. Then I drilled small holes at those points and ran the wire in between them, bending and kinking it as I went. Pretty easy really. (Once you get over the fear of ruining an expensive model of course.)

Absolutely love your Trenchers! I was looking for something realistic to fit into the mud filled trenches of the frontlines… yours fit perfectly! Any tips?

Thanks! Read my article on glaze medium. It’s very useful for creating dirty / dusty / muddy looking minis.
