Here’s the first project log on BrushThralls.com :: a Castigator. Not just any Castigator, but one that I am painting as a thank you for Tim “Absath” Buckley of CTRL+ALT+DEL fame. Tim was instrumental in helping me raise thousands of dollars to help with my expenses in my recent fight with cancer. I wanted to do something to show my gratitude, so I’ll do something that I can do well :: paint a miniature.
Tim has a Protectorate force with his own unique scheme as seen in this image that he posted on the Privateer Press forums:
Right now you’re saying, “but he already has a Castigator.” I know, but I asked him which of the pieces I had available he would prefer and he cleared the Castigator. Besides, double the burnination is always fun, right?
So here is my converted Castigator, ready for paint:
He was mounted on a resin base to match my force back in the day, I’m not sure what to do now. I might make a base to match Tim’s scheme or just paint this one to match the coloring of his. We’ll see when I get there.
