Project: Ork Warboss in Mega Armor – On Hold

Mockup

I’ve mostly finished mocking up the pose and position of Red Jaw. I swapped out the base with one of the Dragonforge “heroic” bases. The exhaust stacks and bosspole have been added. I put in pins for the stikkbomb chukkas but I’m not so sure I want them on there now. It feels a bit cluttered. I also removed the bayonet from the dakka, it just wasn’t feeling right. The left foot was also cut and repositioned slightly to accommodate the new base placement. He’s getting closer to where I want him. A few tweaks and he’ll be ready to build for sure. At this point nothing is glued together, it’s all just pinned together. (Which made posing him for the pictures a bit frustrating when he fell apart several times.) Basically this is an extended “dry fit” for all of the parts to make sure I like where they go and work together before committing to anything. Lesson learned after the Deffcopta conversion attempt.

And a “Barry” shot for scale.
