MegaProject: Punishing Angels Space Marine Chapter - In Progress

Evolution

Like all projects (especially mine) this one is evolving. I’m tinkering with the paint scheme and overall look of the chapter as I go. I’ll have concept images up soon. I’ve hit some snags on the feasibility of some of my ideas. Short of getting some custom sculpted parts replicated about 1000 times I might have to settle for less than the vision. We’ll see as things continue to develop.

Continuing the Evolution

I’ve modified the paint scheme a bit to reflect the more “classic” look of the Punisher. He used to have white gloves, white boots, and a white ammo belt.

The costume evolved over time into the more modern look.

While I vastly prefer the modern look, it looks  a bit bland on a mini. The white will help to break things up a bit and add some needed visual interest & contrast.

I used the new beta engine for the Terminator and it just doesn’t shade the same way so I went back to the original.

So after decking out the model with gear and looking at the color placements I’m pretty happy. I’ve toyed with using white for the helmets too, but it felt jarring. So here’s how things will most likely look.

Tacticals/Devastators plus Command/Veteran options

Assault plus Command options

It’s tough to make out once all of the gear is on but I’ll be using classic Dark Angels green for the wax on the purity seals to give a nod to the “original” scheme. Now to actually build some Tacticals and warm up the brushes!
