Project: Obliterator Cult – Completed

Blanche

I was working on Blanche (named in honor of John Blanche – GW artist) at the same time as Stickman. He was about halfway complete when Stickman was finished, so it was easy to keep rolling along. The aesthetic is pretty basic Obliterator/Nurgle, with the exception of the chain garter strap to the stocking… ;)

Arnold Begins

So on to Arnold. At first, I struggled as to where to take him. As I contemplated his namesake (the current governor of California) I decided to make him into an amalgam of his iconic movie characters. The head is obviously the T-800 Terminator. I elected to give him a fur loincloth in honor of Conan and I’m going to give him obscenely huge muscles in the shoulder and chest. A little more work will be required with the head to make it more recognizable, probably with the addition of the sunglasses. Here he is so far:

With 2 1/2 bodies complete, I started thinking more about the arms. I’ve been checking off and on to make sure things still were working the way I planned. I realized that I haven’t shown that yet, so here are the 3 stars with temporary arms just to show where things are headed.

And just for fun, I put Arnold up next to a stock Space Marine to show just how huge these monstrosities have become.

Still think those boots are too big now?
