O Captain, My Captain
The major thing that has kicked my butt on this project is the sheer amount of time it has taken up. If you’ve done any fair amount of sculpting then you know what I’m talking about. I look up and 3 hours has gone by, I’m out of putty and I can barely keep my eyes open. That’s after one set of arms. Oh well, the end is in sight.
The Captain here has his arms completed and shoulderpads added. He is 98.7% complete. All that remains to do is sculpt the Nurgle icon on the shoulderpad (which is why it’s filed down.) I might add a bit of “Nurgle-ness” if I have enough time before shipping.
Zaphod
I was able to keep rolling along onto Zaphod and got one arm bulked up before my putty was no longer workable. At that point it was time for bed and I couldn’t give another 2 hours to the project.
Skully
I also got Skully’s shoulderpads on. I had to seriously trim down the one as Terminator armor doesn’t allow for such an extreme arm pose. It still looks good though. I also added the hoses from the fuel tank to the flamers.
All three of these will have the Nurgle icon sculpted onto the left shoulderpad. The “A” team will have it on the right pad, to further differentiate between the two.
